To ensure your safety, we have put together a simple guide on the best way to wash your new face mask to keep it safe and help it last longer!

Step 1 - Safely remove your face mask

To remove your mask, ensure you wash your hands thoroughly before touching it. Remove the mask from the back, by taking the strings around your ear, unhooking them and pulling the mask forward and away from your face.

Step 2 - Hand wash your mask in warm, soapy water

To avoid damage to your mask and to keep it in top condition for as long as possible; We recommend hand washing by gently scrubbing the mask in warm, soapy water. Do not use bleach as that may damage the mask's protective coating.

Machine washing your mask

Your mask can be machine washed but we only recommend doing so on a 30 degrees wash; ensuring the mask is placed inside the optional machine washable bag - This protects your elasticated mask straps from getting damaged or snapped in the wash. If you wash at a higher temperature than 30 degrees there is a risk that your mask could become damaged or shrink.

Step 3 - Allow your mask to dry completely

It's really important to make sure your mask is completely dry before putting it away or reusing it. You should ideally hang your mask out and allow it to dry naturally, avoiding direct sunlight if you can. Do not tumble dry or iron your face mask.

Step 4 - Store your mask until you next wish to wear it

Place your mask in a bag and secure it so that it cannot be contaminated, we recommend leaving your mask for 3 days before wearing it again for extra peace of mind. If you have not completely cleaned the mask and it is contaminated, the mask should be safe to wear again when left for 3 days.
